How does reviewer confidentiality work?
Reviewers use token-based links, and reports aggregate feedback by category with configurable thresholds. Responses retain a token reference, which may link to an invitation email. Confidentiality depends on invitation method, permissions, thresholds, and feedback content; it is not guaranteed against administrators with database access.
Do I need IT support to get started?
Not for our hosted solution. You sign up, create your organization, and start sending review invites—no technical skills needed. If you prefer self-hosting, you'll need your IT team to handle deployment (you'll be running in under 30 minutes with Docker Compose).
Is it really GDPR compliant?
EU hosting and self-hosting do not automatically establish GDPR compliance. Blik provides export and deletion tools to support your obligations. Your organization remains responsible for lawful processing, configuration, access controls, retention, and compliance processes.
Can I customize the questionnaires?
Absolutely. We include 4 pre-built 360° questionnaires for different roles (the 360 Degree Feedback, Professional Skills 360 Review, Software Engineering 360 Review, and Manager 360 Review) that work great out-of-the-box. You can also create custom questionnaires with rating scales, multiple choice, and free text questions organized into sections.
Are my custom questionnaires and questions kept private?
Yes. Questionnaires and questions you add are yours and stay yours. On the hosted service they live in your organization's own account and are never shared with, visible to, or reused for other customers. Nobody on our side reads your questionnaire content either, unless you explicitly ask us to, for example to help with a support request. Self-hosted installs never send anything to us at all. What happens if too few people respond?
Blik has built-in privacy thresholds. By default, feedback from a category (e.g., peers) is only shown if at least 3 people responded. This prevents anyone from guessing who said what. You can adjust this threshold for smaller teams.
How long does setup take?
For hosted: 10-15 minutes to create your account and organization. For self-hosted: running in under 30 minutes with Docker Compose. Either way, you'll be running your first review cycle the same day.
Can reviewers complete feedback on mobile?
Yes. The feedback forms work beautifully on phones and tablets. Reviewers can complete reviews during their commute or whenever it's convenient for them. Progress is saved automatically so they can pause and continue later.
What if we outgrow the 50-employee limit?
Our €199/month Enterprise plan covers up to 200 employees. For larger teams, you can self-host for free with no user limits, or contact us for custom hosted pricing.
How do reports protect anonymity?
Reports aggregate feedback by category (peers, managers, direct reports) and apply configurable thresholds where applicable. Self-assessments and manager feedback may be identifiable. Small groups and recognizable text can reveal reviewers, so choose thresholds and report access carefully.
Can I export our data?
Yes. You can export your complete organization data as JSON at any time. No lock-in, no restrictions. This makes it easy to back up your data or migrate to another system if needed.
Do you offer training or support?
The system is intuitive enough that most HR managers don't need training. We provide email support for hosted customers and comprehensive documentation. For self-hosted installations, your IT team can access community support on GitHub.
Can we run a pilot round without a subscription?
Yes. The Single Round is €19 once for a hosted feedback round of up to 10 employees, with no subscription and no charge for reviewers. Reports stay available afterwards, and you can start a subscription later from Settings inside your account. See what's included.
