Simple Version

We try our best to keep things online (it's kind of my job), but no guarantees.

• Self-hosted: Use it however you want under AGPL license
• Hosted SaaS: We provide the service, you use it responsibly

Two Ways to Use Blik

1. Self-Hosted (Free, Open Source)

Download from GitHub and run on your own servers.

• License: AGPL-3.0
• Cost: Free forever
• Support: Community via GitHub
• Your responsibility: Hosting, security, backups, updates

2. Hosted Service (Paid SaaS)

We host and manage everything for you.

• Pricing: €49/month (up to 50 employees) or €199/month (up to 200 employees)
• Billing: Monthly via Stripe. Cancel anytime.
• Location: EU servers (Germany)

Service Availability

Hosted service provided "as is":

• We try our best to keep it online (99% uptime goal)
• But no guarantees - outages happen
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced
• We're not liable for downtime or data loss (back up your data!)

Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the service legally and ethically
• Not abuse, attack, or overload our systems
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Not upload malicious content
• Comply with GDPR and applicable laws for your organization's data

Our Responsibilities

For hosted service, we'll:

• Keep the service running (best effort)
• Protect your data with reasonable security measures
• Back up data daily (90-day retention)
• Respond to support requests (email, no SLA for basic plan)

What You Own

• Your data: You own all feedback, reports, and content you create
• Export anytime: Download your data in JSON format
• We don't claim rights: Your data is yours

Cancellation & Refunds

• Cancel anytime: No long-term contracts
• Prorated refunds: If we terminate for our reasons
• No refunds: For violations of terms or voluntary cancellation
• Data export: 30 days after cancellation, then permanent deletion

We Can Terminate Service If You:

• Violate these terms
• Use the service for illegal activities
• Abuse or attack our infrastructure
• Don't pay (hosted service)

We'll give 7 days notice unless it's an emergency.

Limitations of Liability

Service is provided "as is":

• No warranty of fitness for any purpose
• Not liable for indirect damages
• Maximum liability: amount you paid in last 3 months
• Your data, your responsibility: Back it up!

Open Source License (Self-Hosted)

Self-hosted version is AGPL-3.0:

• Free to use, modify, distribute
• If you modify and offer as a service, you must share your source code

Changes to Terms

We can update these terms. If we do:

• We'll email you 30 days before major changes
• Continued use means you accept the changes
• Don't like it? Cancel before changes take effect

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes resolved in Amsterdam courts.
