How is anonymity guaranteed?
Blik uses cryptographically secure anonymous tokens. When you send review invites, reviewers receive unique URLs with no identifying information. Even as an admin, you cannot trace feedback back to individuals. The system is architecturally designed to make de-anonymization impossible.
Do I need IT support to get started?
Not for our hosted solution. You sign up, create your organization, and start sending review invites—no technical skills needed. If you prefer self-hosting, you'll need your IT team to handle deployment (it takes about 30 minutes with Docker).
Is it really GDPR compliant?
Yes. Our hosted version runs on EU servers (Hetzner in Germany). All data stays in the EU. For complete control, self-hosting on your own infrastructure gives you 100% GDPR compliance with zero third-party involvement.
Can I customize the questionnaires?
Absolutely. We include 4 pre-built 360° questionnaires for different roles (general professional skills, software engineers, and managers) that work great out-of-the-box. You can also create custom questionnaires with rating scales, multiple choice, and free text questions organized into sections.
What happens if too few people respond?
Blik has built-in privacy thresholds. By default, feedback from a category (e.g., peers) is only shown if at least 3 people responded. This prevents anyone from guessing who said what. You can adjust this threshold for smaller teams.
How long does setup take?
For hosted: 10-15 minutes to create your account and organization. For self-hosted: your IT team needs about 30 minutes to deploy with Docker. Either way, you'll be running your first review cycle the same day.
Can reviewers complete feedback on mobile?
Yes. The feedback forms work beautifully on phones and tablets. Reviewers can complete reviews during their commute or whenever it's convenient for them. Progress is saved automatically so they can pause and continue later.
What if we outgrow the 50-employee limit?
Our €199/month Enterprise plan covers up to 200 employees. For larger teams, you can self-host for free with unlimited users, or contact us for custom hosted pricing.
How do reports protect anonymity?
Reports aggregate feedback by category (peers, managers, direct reports). Data is only shown if the minimum response threshold is met. Self-assessments are shown separately since they're not anonymous. All text comments are grouped by category without attribution.
Can I export our data?
Yes. You can export your complete organization data as JSON at any time. No lock-in, no restrictions. This makes it easy to back up your data or migrate to another system if needed.
Do you offer training or support?
The system is intuitive enough that most HR managers don't need training. We provide email support for hosted customers and comprehensive documentation. For self-hosted installations, your IT team can access community support on GitHub.

14 days of full access to the hosted version—all features, no limitations. You'll need a credit card to start, but you can cancel anytime during the trial without being charged.
